About Me
Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I'm Alexis a Registered Dietitian in Toronto. Studying to become an RD was a long seven year process, but I am so thrilled to be here.
Over the past two years I had the privilege of working with folx struggling with a range of disorders eating patterns. Through nutrition counselling, I got to support youth, adults, families, during a turbulent and emotional season of their lives. Prior to that, I accumulated over 500 hours of volunteer and Dietetic Internship experience at some of the largest health research organizations, and Food and Beverage companies like Nestlé Canada.
I created this blog as a place to share my thoughts on public health, lifestyle, and nutrition and food industry topics. I tend to gravitate to more clinical public health topics and like to explore how nutrition topics and Social Determinants of Health intertwine, but I also love delving into the latest food industry trends (Momofuku Chili Crunch, hello!) and exploring innovative health foods on the market.
I am an energetic passionate nutrition professional who loves to inspire positive behaviour change through relatable knowledge sharing. According to JobFlare my most notable traits are: self-assured, outgoing, and explorative, and my colleagues would describe me as friendly, resourceful, and hard-working.
